Raipur (thestates.news) | Urban Administration and Development Department has commenced the immediate implementation of Chief Minister’s announcement for sanction of Rs.5 crore and Rs.3 crore respectively to all the municipalities and nagar panchayats. Recommending the aforementioned financial sanction, Urban Administration and Development Department have directed the municipalties and nagar panchayats to send proposals for the works to be done under this item within 15 days via a special carrier. It is noteworthy that this announcement was made by Chief Minister Mr. Baghel on March 31. In the same sequence, at the meeting of the Finance Committee held on April 4, Urban Administration Department recommended the allotment of Rs 5 crores for municipal councils and Rs 3 crore for nagar panchayats under the infrastructure development head in financial year 2021-22.
Urban Administration and Development Department has directed all the municipalities and nagar panchayats except the urban bodies of Rajnandgaon district to send their proposals via special carrier. In the letter sent by the Urban Administration Department to the Chief Executive Officers in this regard, instruction has been given to include the works to be done as per the announcement of the Chief Minister, Departmental Minister in the proposal for the works of infrastructure development, besides the proposal for road repair, maintenance, new road construction, drainage system, construction of bridges and culverts, construction of roads, drains under the head of infrastructure in deprived areas, proposals for distribution of drinking water through pipelines in deprived areas, proposals for 30 percent amount of works in scheduled caste, scheduled tribe areas and street lights proposals. Chief executive officers have been directed to send technical approval regarding proposals, resolution of PIC, council and photographs of the proposed sites for work within 15 days to the Directorate of Urban Administration and Development Department through special carrier.
