Uttarakhand State Foundation Day celebrated in Maharashtra Raj BhavanGovernor hails the contribution of people of Uttarakhand in progress and development of Maharashtra


Mumbai (Thestates.news), The State Foundation Day of Uttarakhand was celebrated in Maharashtra Raj Bhavan in the presence of Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais on Thursday (9 Nov).

The Uttarakhand State Foundation Day was celebrated in Maharashtra Raj Bhavan as part of the ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ initiative of Government of India.

Speaking on the occasion, Governor Ramesh Bais hailed the contribution of the people of Uttarakhand origin to the progress and development of Maharashtra.
A cultural programme depicting the rich culture and traditions of Uttarakhand was presented on the occasion. The Cultural programme was presented by Garhwal Bhratri Mandal, Himalaya Parvatiya Sangha and Kauthig Foundation. 

The Governor felicitated the office bearers of the three organisations and the artists.

Mangal Geet, Puja Dance, Kumauni Jhoda Dance, Jaunsari Folk Dance, Solo Dance and other cultural programmes were presented. 

Secretary to the Governor (in charge) Shweta Singhal delivered the welcome speech while Comptroller of the Governor’s Households Arun Anandkar proposed vote of thanks.
