Chief Minister honoured 1500 retired teachers on Teacher’s Day
Raipur (thestates.news) In a heartfelt tribute to teachers on Teacher’s Day, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated the Sant Vinoba Bhave College and Research Centre in Marra village under the Patan block. He shared that Vinoba Bhave ji visited the then-school premises and encouraged the people to donate land for a better cause. Mr. Baghel acknowledged the significant role teachers play in shaping the future of students. He paid homage to the former President and renowned teacher, Dr. Radhakrishnan. The newly constructed college boasts advanced facilities, including a hi-tech nursery, tissue culture laboratory, implement shed, seed warehouse, rest house for farmers, three fertiliser warehouses, and two additional rooms for academic excellence. This initiative aims to promote education and research, ensuring students have access to state-of-the-art resources. To express gratitude to the teacher’s community, the ceremony also honoured 1,500 retired teachers for their invaluable contributions to the education sector. As Mr. Baghel remarked, these educators have played a pivotal role in shaping the bright futures of countless students, emphasising the importance of their dedication and commitment.
